Continued Transformation
Unbecoming
When I reflect back, even as a teenager, I was available for radical transformation and willing to explore all sides of the human experience. I quit art school and the party scene I was entrenched in, packed my bag, and fled to a South Island freedom beach camp. It were here at age 17 got my first experience of detoxification, as not my choice rathwr than circumstance and a desire to change, I quit smoking and drinking, and embraced the rest of a new lifestyle. Freshly picked fruits, fish, and basic herbal plant medicines which all became my staples. I bathed in rivers and had solar showers under the stars in the forest via our camp's rig up. I felt incredible, Electro-Magnetic even,
That’s when a whole new window of consciousness opened up for me. It was also at that time I had a random encounter with a flaming ball of light. It didn’t just appear before me; it flew across the ocean sort me out then passed through my body in front of everybody one the beach one night while camping with my friends. However, that’s another story for another time. Or perhaps you might would like to listen to an podcast interview with Flaming Chariots on the rise Here
Like any healing journey, it is not a linear path. rather valleys and mountains woven with layers of deeper dives, darker journeys, more expansive experiences, and transformational breakthroughs, with a common theme of seeking knowledge and self-awareness.
In 2012, after returning from living in Ibiza and Asia, I committed to my natural sciences diploma at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. During this time, I booked in with a naturopath and when she read my eyes and revealed a startling truth: she told me I was incredibly malnourished and not absorbing hardly any of the nutrients I was eating. This news took me aback, as I, like many, believed I was healthy. I was consuming what I thought to be a healthy diet, unaware of the internal struggle my body was facing.
What was crazy was that I was in my first year of natural health sciences studies, regularly attending Sivananda yoga classes, and majoring in nutrition. Yet, despite my efforts, I lacked energy and looked and felt dull. Was this due to the emergency C-section I had while in labor with my son? Yes, this was part of the picture, but it was also a symptom of my body's internal disharmony.
The revelation that I was malnourished was a wake up call and also marked the beginning of my pivot I needed to fight for myself and arming myself with every bit of natural health knowledge I had and was gaining and apply it on myself big time . So I immersed myself with every book I could read as it happened while visiting my neighbour a book in her liberty jumped out at me it was tiled Digestive wellness By ELIZABETH LIPSKI .
What become very clear to my was a condition called dysboisis, or impaired gut health and what I later came to understand as the power of ones Agni: The Heart and Soul of Ayurveda, which was especially important for my body type
I began with detoxification, which is the first step I prescribe for every imbalance in all of my clients. Known as Panchakarma in Ayurveda, what's crucial to note is that while cleansing to optimize the body is fundamental to your health, how we cleanse in winter, summer, spring, and autumn all require different approaches. This is due to the understanding of the body's active and dormant cycles. For example, spring is associated with the element of wood, which corresponds to the liver in Chinese medicine. It is also the season where our body has an abundance of Kapha as it seeks to purify the earth element from winter.
In addition some individuals do require more custom bespoke cleaning programs due to emotional blocks and or more acute underlaying health issues.
if there is any doubt or retracts feel free to reach out to me personaly to see which one of my reset programs is right for you.
Within Ayurveda, we talk of our Agni, or having a strong digestive fire. As this is the cornerstone complete wellbeing. without a strong digestive fire, one can not correctly break down nutrients into the budding blocks that form our skin hair hormones heart brain and all of our glands and organs without a strong Agni we also struggle to direct and process our emotions, they stagnate they circulate they don’t assimilate well
Agni, derived from the Sanskrit word for "fire," is more than just the physical process of digestion. It symbolizes the transformative power within each of us, governing digestion, metabolism, and the assimilation of nutrients.
When Agni is balanced, it fuels our bodies efficiently, converting food into energy, and ensuring that nutrients are absorbed while waste products are eliminated. This balance leads to a state of optimal health, vitality, and mental clarity. However, when Agni is weakened or imbalanced, it can result in poor digestion, accumulation of toxins (ama), and various health issues.
Ayurveda identifies four states of Agni:
Sama Agni (Balanced Fire): Ideal state where digestion is strong, leading to perfect health.
Vishama Agni (Irregular Fire): Characterized by variable digestion, often linked to Vata dosha imbalance, causing gas and bloating.
Tikshna Agni (Sharp Fire): Overactive digestion, often associated with Pitta dosha imbalance, leading to acid reflux and burning sensations.
Manda Agni (Weak Fire): Sluggish digestion, typically related to Kapha dosha imbalance, causing heaviness and lethargy.
Although I had experienced various rites of passage in my then 32 years and had been trained in various healing modalities, I didn’t have the routines my system needed or supportive energies in place to apply around my life.
My years of partying or enduring within work places that were unaligned or with people or places that were not really supportive can also be very draining on our energies. Until finally in was presenting with chronic anaemia, insomnia, little energy, and dull, lackluster skin. basally burnt out
My first pregnancy had been fraught with complications like hay fever, carpal tunnel, impaired circulation, digestive issues, and a compounded inflammatory disease, resulting in a C-section that left me in shock, with PTSD, insomnia, I also felt that because I was taking a more leda role in my relationship instead of the support role I was becoming disconnected from my feminine energy my softness and my real embodiment.
The c section resulted in PTSD and all of its know on repercussions were my second wake up call as my now 11 month old baby that was still waking 4x nightly. So I started researching and implementing everything I was learning about blog type endocrine body types pales keto vegan vegetarian and various types whole food preparation of detoxification and cleansing methods nourishing traditional Diet and looking for common threads and or what my body was to really reinstate with
I knew that something had to change. I wasn’t sleeping baby wasn’t sleeping we were all so dysregulated. Solutions focused I was determined to heal
Which seamed like an impossible task like shooting in the dark. Yet I begun designing detox programs for myself, on a budget then constantly adjusting and refining them based on my observations and feedback. if I was going to be operating off 4 -5 hours sleep per night and be studying running a business coaching cleinsta nd co organising an arts festival, I needed to draw in new energy from the deeps of my being and oh I wanted to look great too.
As I began to radiate health, people took notice. I started sharing my journey through a blog, and as other women gravitated towards my findings, I launched my group coaching program, "Rest Yourself," a 5-day program. This formed the foundation of what is now my "Clear Cleanse Rise" my signature foundational course for anyone embarking on their yoga journey and wanting to refine there kundalini energy or sustain more chi and flow
I also delved deeper into anti-inflammatory eating, inspired by the works of David Wolfe and other plant-based advocates. During my studies, I explored various diets from keto to paleo to blood type diets and endocrine body type programs. Parasite cleansing was a game-changer, and integrating these approaches for different body types led me to Ayurveda. This system acknowledges that we have different body, mind, and energy types, each requiring its own approach to rebalance and enrich one's life.
During the lockdown, I discovered an online breathwork course with a Spanish instructor, which ignited a profound shift within me. I shed tears, feeling lighter and more connected to my energetic system and nervous system. This led me to commit to a 10-day Kundalini awakening challenge. On the sixth day of performing Kundalini kriyas morning and night, I experienced a powerful surge of energy that suspended me in a state of euphoria and bliss known as Samadhi for an entire week. It took over a year to integrate this experience, during which I trained to become a Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher.
This transformation changed my voice and heightened my sensory perception, allowing me to see colors, sensations, and information with a clarity that mystics remotely this ability is even stronger known as remote viewing in the western or in reference to Indian wisdoms its know as the Siddhis. which are all apart of awakening our human codes of higher potentials
Now, I she teaches and mentor others, guiding them on their own journeys of expansion and kundalini awakening. The journey is ongoing, a continuous process of mastering and clearing karmic blocks to awakened more creativity and clarity of being
Through my embodied experiences 1000 of hours teaching and over 3000 clients and multiple certifications in the healing arts.
Today I support others in sustaining and nurturing their mind, body, and spirit while expanding with the frequency’s of Awakening Kundalini.
