Ayurvedic Latte
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk (full-fat for a richer latte or light for a more delicate texture)
1 tsp Ashwagandha powder
1 tsp Shatavari powder
1 tsp rose powder (or 1 tbsp rose water for a subtler flavor)
1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for extra creaminess)
1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
½ tsp vanilla extract (optional for extra flavor)
1 pinch ground cardamom (optional garnish)
Dried rose petals (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Heat the Coconut Milk: In a small saucepan, gently heat the coconut milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scorching.
Mix the Herbs: While the coconut milk is heating, in a small bowl, mix together the Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and rose powder. If you're using rose water instead of powder, set it aside to add later.
Blend it Together: Once the coconut milk is warm, reduce the heat to low. Add the herbal mixture (and rose water, if using), and whisk thoroughly to combine. Make sure the herbs dissolve into the milk to avoid clumps.
Sweeten: Stir in the honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract (if using), and coconut oil for added creaminess. Continue whisking until everything is well blended and warm.
Serve: Pour the latte into your favorite mug. For a lovely finishing touch, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom on top and garnish with dried rose petals.
Sip and Enjoy: Relax with your nourishing latte, and let the calming, grounding properties of Ashwagandha and Shatavari, paired with the soothing rose, bring balance to your body and mind.
