Shatavari -nourishing the feminine divine:

Shatvari is so revered in Ayurveda that it’s named the queen of herbs more playfully “the one who possesses a hundred husbands.” This fascinating title belongs to Shatavari, because she is a powerhouse plant known for balancing hormones to boosting fertility and overall energy, Shatavari is like a secret weapon for women at any stage of life.

Shatavari is gaining recognition for its vital role in supporting women's health, but its significance goes far beyond that. This powerful herb also holds profound metaphysical and spiritual meaning, offering the potential to transform struggle and restriction into a harmonious flow of energy.

In Ayurveda, every plant and herb is associated with a deity or goddess, and Shatavari is no exception. It is linked to two powerful goddesses: Goddess Parvati and Goddess Lakshmi. Parvati, the divine consort of Lord Shiva, embodies both tenderness and fierce protection. This herb is particularly beneficial during menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause. Like many sacred plant medicines, Shatavari transcends the physical realm. As much as I love the energy that flows after my Kundalini practice, there are times when a regular practice isn't always possible. This is where Shatavari becomes a great ally to me. These sages understood that the herb had the power to impart the same qualities to humans that worked with the plant, fostering inner strength and peace even in times of adversity. This has certainly been my experience when communing with and ingesting Shatavari.
